So I've got a new game out that you all should check out here. It's a classic style side scrolling shooter rooted in R-type, and Zero Wing type games (though every person I've talked to about it has related it to countless other Japanese scrolling shooters). It also includes RPG elements where the various ships have individual stats and each weapon has 5 levels. It's an intense, and quite challenging game.
That aside, I'm curious if any devs here are going to be attending the Game Developer's Conference in Austin, TX in September. I've never been to one of these, but it looks like there's a lot of interesting stuff going on and I'm looking forward to it. It's be cool to run into some NG regulars if any of you are going.
Anyways, enjoy Blueshift!
Paradox
I thought Blue Shift was a Half-Life expansion.
Ah well, awesome game. :3
Weasel
Blueshift is the Doppler effect with light. When it's moving towards you the light waves are compressed and appear red, thus Redshift, and when it's moving away the waves are spread apart and appears blue, and you get Blueshift. So, yeah, nothing to do with the Half-life game.
Glad you liked it, though.
